How to use common prompts

Apply shared prompt templates across multiple AI agents for consistent behavior.

Common prompts are reusable prompt blocks that can be shared across different agents. Instead of duplicating the same instructions in every agent's prompt, define them once as a common prompt and reference them wherever needed.

Create a common prompt

Go to Agents from the sidebar.
Click the Common Prompts button to open the common prompts dialog.
Click Add to create a new common prompt.
Enter a descriptive Name (e.g., "Dealership Identity", "Escalation Rules", "Compliance Guidelines").
Write the prompt content — the instructions you want shared across agents.
Click Save.

Apply a common prompt to an agent

Open the agent you want to update.
In the prompt editor, reference or include the common prompt block.
Save the agent configuration.

The common prompt content is injected into the agent's system instructions at runtime.

Tips

  • Keep common prompts focused on agent's purpose.
  • Review common prompts periodically to ensure they reflect current dealership policies.
  • Test in Preview after making changes to confirm agents behave correctly.
