How to edit an agent prompt
Modify the system prompt that controls how a specific AI agent behaves and responds.
Each AI agent (Sales, Service, Test Drive, etc.) has a system prompt that defines its personality, knowledge boundaries, and response style. Editing the prompt lets you fine-tune how the agent communicates with customers.
Edit a prompt
Go to Agents from the sidebar.
Select the agent you want to modify (e.g., Sales Agent, Service Agent).
Locate the Prompt section — this contains the agent's system instructions.
Edit the prompt text using the rich-text editor. You can toggle between formatted and Markdown Plain mode for precise control.
Click Save to apply your changes.

Changes take effect on the next new conversation. Active conversations continue using the prompt that was in place when they started.
Tips
- Keep prompts focused — an agent with too many instructions may become inconsistent.
- Test your changes using the Preview feature before going live.
- Use bullet points for rules — the AI follows structured instructions more reliably.
- Review conversation logs after making changes to verify the agent behaves as expected.
