How to send a lead to CRM

Push a conversation's customer details to your CRM as an ADF lead.

When a conversation contains a qualified lead, you can push the customer's information directly to your CRM in industry-standard ADF/XML format — without leaving the portal.

Send a lead

Open Conversations from the sidebar and select the chat containing the lead.
Click the Send Lead button in the conversation toolbar to open the lead sidebar.
Review and update the pre-filled Name and Email Address.
Verify the Phone number (format: +1 (999) 999-9999).
Select the Lead Type — Sales, Service, Parts, or other categories.
Click Send Lead to push the data to your connected CRM.

The system sends the lead in ADF/XML format, which is compatible with all major automotive CRMs (DealerSocket, VinSolutions, etc.).

What gets sent

The ADF lead includes:

  • Customer contact information (name, phone, email)
  • Lead type/category
  • Vehicle of interest (if identified during the conversation)
  • Source attribution (DealerAI channel and conversation ID)
  • Conversation summary context

Prerequisites

Your dealership must have a CRM integration configured. If the Send Lead button is not visible, contact your administrator to set up the CRM connection in Settings.

The AI can also send leads automatically when it detects a qualified opportunity. Manual sending is useful when you've had a paused conversation and want to ensure the lead reaches your CRM with accurate details.

Tips

  • Verify the phone number and email before sending — the pre-filled data comes from what the customer provided during chat and may need correction.
  • Use the Lead Type dropdown to route the lead to the correct department in your CRM.
  • You can send a lead from the same conversation multiple times if the customer has multiple interests (e.g., Sales and Service).
