View the dealership's assigned SMS number and configure AI activation and the welcome message for incoming texts.
SMS shows the dealership's provisioned Twilio phone number and lets you control whether the AI responds automatically to incoming text messages.
Fields
SMS number
Displays the dealership's assigned SMS number. This is provisioned by DealerAI and is read-only. Contact support if you need a number assigned or changed.
AI activation
AI Activation — Toggle this on to enable the AI to automatically respond to inbound SMS messages sent to the dealership's number.
The AI Activation toggle is only shown once an SMS number has been provisioned for the dealership.
SMS welcome message
When AI Activation is off, you can set an SMS Welcome Message — a static auto-reply sent to any customer who texts the dealership number. This message is used in place of AI-generated responses.
When AI is activated, the AI handles the conversation and the welcome message field is hidden.
